QC/QA Material Testing Technician
QC/QA & Material Testing Puyallup / Puget Sound region, WA · On-site Full-time
Perform field and laboratory testing of concrete, soils, aggregates and asphalt, and document quality control and quality assurance on active construction projects such as SR 167.
What you’ll do
- Sample and test fresh concrete (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight) and cast cylinders
- Perform nuclear density / compaction testing on soils and aggregates
- Sample and test asphalt and aggregates
- Pick up, cure, transport and track test specimens and break dates
- Complete daily reports with photos and test records in the GPSG portal
- Flag non-conforming results and follow up with the QA manager
- Follow site safety requirements and keep equipment calibrated
What you bring
- WAQTC and/or ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Nuclear gauge safety training (or ability to obtain)
- 1+ year of construction materials testing experience preferred
- Comfortable working outdoors and on active construction sites
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Attention to detail and clear record keeping
